14 Nov How to make Dua: Tip #36
Situations when Dua is answered: The person who has been Wronged
Allah accepts the Dua of any person who has been wronged, even if he is a non-Muslim. This condition gives hope to those who have been wronged and fear to those who wrong people.
If a person has been wronged by someone, Allah accepts the dua of that person against the person that wronged him. This ‘wrong’ could be that he was cheated of his rights, oppressed, persecuted, slandered, or any other form of wrong that a person may be inflicted with. The Prophet [May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Fear the dua of he who has been wronged, for verily it ascends to the skies faster than sparks (of light)”. [al-Hakim from Ibn Umar, Sahih al-Jami #118]
Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet [May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Fear the dua of he who has been wronged, even if he is a disbeliever, for there remains no veil between it”. [Ahmad, Abu Ya’la, Sahih al-Jami #119]
