Is it haram for a Muslim woman to work?

Absolutely not, if that was the case, it would be a little awkward since Khadijah was a successful businesswoman, an incredible wife, an amazing mother, and a straight-up boss.

I’m sorry if that was a short answer, but, no matter what any scholar says, they would have to deal with the complicated mess of Khadijah’s profession, and I can’t think of anything in The Qur’an that could suggest that it would be impermissible for a woman to work.
